Course Overview

This course will cover the imaging modalities available to facilitate the evaluation and improve outcomes for children with hearing loss. A discussion of the strengths, weaknesses, challenges and safety concerns of magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and less common imaging modalities will be placed in the context of illustrative cases and clinical scenarios.

Anthony Alleman
MD, MPH

Dr. Alleman is a Professor and Bob G. Eaton Chair of Radiological Sciences at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Alleman’s experience as a fellowship trained neurotologist gives him a unique perspective on the role of imaging in the care of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. He is an experienced educator of both graduate and post graduate healthcare professionals.
