Welcome to LSL Strategies Part 3: Hear It Before They See It

Babies do a LOT of listening before they ever say their first words. If your baby is deaf or hard of hearing, they’ll need your help to strengthen their listening skills. Remember, you are not alone. Your Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) interventionist and team are here to support you and so is Hearing First.

One great LSL strategy to help your baby learn to listen and talk is the Hear It Before They See It strategy. This lesson will show you how to use this easy strategy in your everyday routines so that you can help your baby practice listening each day.
