You are your baby’s best teacher and guide to explore listening and language!

As a new listener, your baby doesn't know what sound is or what's important to listen to yet. They need your help to point out sounds and teach them the meaning behind what they hear.

When your baby first starts using hearing devices, their brain gains improved access to the sounds and conversations around them. At first, they may hear a sound but not know what it means. That’s where LSL strategies like Be a Director and Be a Bird Dog come in! These strategies help you show your baby what sounds, voices, and events mean.

Remember!

Using these LSL strategies often will support your baby’s active listening skills and form lasting connections in their brain.

Congratulations!
