Review the key points you learned throughout this lesson:

  • As new listeners, babies learn best when listening with their hearing devices in quiet settings.
  • You can make listening easier by:
    • Reducing the noise around your baby
    • Talking close to them – within 3 to 4 feet
    • Using your best natural talking voice
  • A remote microphone can help your baby hear better when they are more than 4 to 6 feet away from you and in noisy places where sound is harder to control, like the playground or car.
