Welcome to The Audiogram: What Your Baby Can Hear

When your baby is first identified with hearing loss, there can be a lot of new information, appointments, and questions to navigate. You want the best for your little one, and when you understand their hearing, you’re able to better support and advocate for them. This knowledge helps you tell their story, recognize what to look for, see the value of their hearing devices, and work closely with the professionals like your pediatric audiologist and Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) interventionist.

This lesson will guide you through understanding your baby’s hearing status and audiogram (a graph that charts your baby’s hearing) so you can be the expert on your little one’s hearing. You’ll leave empowered with the knowledge and tools to monitor your baby’s hearing and understand what they can and can’t hear.

Take this lesson at your pace and be sure to bookmark sections so you can revisit and reference sections whenever you need. And remember, you are your baby’s best advocate and supporter on this journey!
