More About Jentry’s Journey

Jentry's journey started when she was incredibly young — she was only 18 months old when she was identified as deaf. After the initial shock wore off, her mom, Kris, dove right in to do what her daughter needed, she realized we live in a listening and talking world, and she refused to let Jentry fall behind.

They embraced the Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) path, setting the stage for Jentry’s success. After 15 years with a hearing aid in only one ear, Jentry received her cochlear implant at 34 and her future became even brighter as she discovered her voice and independence.

Jentry is a determined young woman who has learned to overcome challenges and advocate for herself. She is joined by her mother Kris. You’ll want to hear Kris share their journey and how the opportunity through the LSL path led her daughter to become the remarkable, independent young woman we see today.
