Wow! We’re still amazed that we had the opportunity to have a face-to-face conversation with Dr. Teresa Ching about her landmark study about children with hearing loss known as the LOCHI (Longitudinal Outcomes of Children with Hearing Impairment) Study. Watch the full video about the study and her answer to the question of “How much does my child need to be wearing their hearing technology?”

Hearing First hosts Facebook Live “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) videos to give parents and professionals the most up to date information about the outcomes possible for children who are deaf or hard of hearing learning listening and spoken language (LSL). We recently had the incredible opportunity to interview Dr. Teresa Ching, Head of Rehabilitation Procedures Research at the National Acoustic Laboratories in Australia, about her landmark study about children with hearing loss known as the LOCHI (Longitudinal Outcomes of Children with Hearing Impairment) Study.

In our Facebook Live AMA, she discusses the importance of ‘early and right’ amplification for children with hearing loss and the critical timing for the best results. She also answered the question, “How much does my child need to be wearing their hearing technology?”

You won’t want to miss this full video of Hearing First CEO Dr. Teresa Caraway’s interview with special guests Dr. Teresa Ching, Head of Rehabilitation Procedures research at the National Acoustic Laboratories, Australia and Gayla Guignard, Chief Strategist Officer at the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as they chat about innovation in newborn hearing screening and early identification, and the LOCHI Study. This is your chance to hear about the study from Dr. Ching herself!
