Creating Your Own Summer Connected Learning Experience

This article was published in 2017 in advance of the AG Bell Symposium.

Bucket lists are great tools for making and following intentional plans. They inspire us, motivate us and keep us on track. Take a look at our Hearing First bucket list and hear what we have coming up this summer!

We know how important it is to be intentional with the LSL goals you choose for your child who is deaf or hard of hearing, which is why we provided you an LSL Bucket List to help you have fun while setting good goals for your family this summer. However, bucket lists aren’t just for family fun, we have one too! As we’ve mentioned in the past, our goal at Hearing First is to equip parents and professionals with the essential knowledge and skills to produce improved outcomes for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Here’s a look at our Hearing First Bucket List and what we’ve checked off so far!

Since our beginning, we’ve been working hard to make our bucket list goals a reality with a website experience, LSL communities, blog posts that include downloadable resources and LSL tips, and other learning tools. However, we know there are more opportunities for both parents and professionals to enhance their LSL knowledge and skills. That’s why we’ve got some big news to share with you soon about the next bucket list box we’re ready to check!

Hear it in Person at the Symposium

To coordinate with the Innovate, Integrate, Motivate theme of the event, we’re set to announce some really exciting news at this year’s AG Bell Symposium in Washington DC about our summer plans regarding Hearing First’s learning experiences and community opportunities. We’re looking forward to catching up with others in the LSL community, learning something new from each other and advancing our skills and LSL practice. We hope to see you there!

Are you attending this event or other LSL conferences this summer? Download our Connected Learning Experience Checklist for a step-by-step guide to help you make the most of your time at LSL learning events.
