Small steps can mean BIG progress on your child’s LSL journey. To help you get there, Dr. Teresa Caraway, CEO of Hearing First partnered with Dr. Jace Wolfe, Director of Audiology and Research at Hearts for Hearing, to discuss essential advice for getting the most out of your child’s hearing technology.

As the parent of a baby with hearing loss, you have a lot of information to read and understand. Wouldn't it be nice if someone could just hand you a list of a few best practices? Even better, what if they could explain this list to you in a few minutes? Dr. Caraway and Dr. Wolfe do just that, offering tips to help you support your child in reaching their full potential for a brighter future.

Click below to listen to the answers to five common questions along the LSL journey:

  1. How do I know if my child’s hearing aids are providing what they need?
  2. When is the right time to get a cochlear implant?
  3. Why do the settings on my child’s hearing aids matter?
  4. What can I do to help keep my child’s hearing technology on?
  5. How long should my child wear their hearing aids in a day?

We want to support you in the steps you take every day on the LSL journey. We hope these tips support you as you help your child with hearing loss learn to listen and talk.
